Database Management System

What is DBMS - DataBase Management System.
                                                  A database is a collection of related information that user can retrieve or stored data. The system that run on database is called Database Management System. For example Oracle, SQLite, Microsoft Access, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server etc.

Facilities supported by DBMS

Data Definition Language DDL:
                                            It define the Conceptual Schema and give details about how implement this schema in the physical devices used to store data. For example in SQL Create, Alter, Drop, Truncate, Rename and Comment statement are DDL statement.
Data Manipulation Language DML:
                                         It enable users to access or manipulate data as organized by the appropriate data model. The DML provides commands to retrieve data from the database, insert data into database table, update data in database and delete data from database. They can be used in an interactive model or embedded in conventional programming language. 
Data Control Language:
                                        DCL are used to control access to the database and data init. It is used to enforce data security. For Example GRANT to allow specified users to perform specified tasks. REVOKE it is remove the user accessibility to database object.
